Donald McAulay Brodie

Donald McAulay Brodie passed away January 26 2023 at his home in Las Vegas following a long illness . His wife Carol and his children were by his side. Don was 83.

Born in Glasgow Scotland during WWII, Don came to Seattle Washington when he was 18, with his Scottish clan, his mother and 3 brothers.

After a variety of trades, including his service in the army as a NIKE missile technician, Don began his lifetime career as an electrical contractor, and was proud of his 65 years as an IBEW local 45 union member.

Don Brodie raised four children Donna, Don, Doreen and Dennis with former wife Diane in Redmond Washington. He was always at all of their events and a very supportive Dad! Don was a soccer enthusiast, coaching The Roadrunners boys team from elementary to high school graduation. During which he was very active

in organizing youth soccer as President of the Lake Washington Soccer Association. Don also coached the University of Washington woman's soccer team and was very involved with the 70-80's Seattle Sounders.

Don was very proud of his nine grandchildren, Danielle and Dustin, Erin and Glen, Desiree, Dominique and Dillenger and step grandkids Genevieve and Zachary.

He would have celebrated his 30th Wedding anniversary this February 14th to his present and long time love, travel partner, and wife Carol Brodie.
