Dear Bettina, and Family Members:
I became aware of 'Young Donald's Passing two days
after His Funeral was held at Ladue Chapel.
Don and I met in 1967 both new to the Business, and both
taking CLU Classes together at St. Louis U. We both started with
Roy Schick, an Attorney and Trust Officer, as Instructor.
We continued on our Insurance Education through CHFC, and
MSFS, a Masters Degree in Financial Services.
Don had attended Ladue High School, as did our Daughters
some years later, and then Don attended Dennison University
in Granville, OH., and then Law School.
Our Oldest Daughter Kim, having met and knowing Don and my admiration for him, had visited 8 Universities to select where to Attend,
and most likely due to Don having told her, "If you Visit Dennison,
You will go there. She visited it 8th, of University Visits, and as predicted, fell in Love with Granville OH, and did attend there.
Kim received Her Bachelor's after 3 years of University, and then enrolled in Law School at Ohio State, and graduated and Practiced
in Columbus OH.
She was vastly influenced by Donald L. Bryant Jr., and though thinking
Donald a bit Overblown, did follow His lead and Advice.
Young Donald and I once talked about merging our Insurance
Practices, BUT, He insisted that we would work 5 days a week, and Office in the Boatman's Bank Building, downtown St. Louis.
Entering the Business in 1967, at age 35, I had agreed with my Bride Joan, since I was a bit of a Workaholic, and then having two Children in
Elementary School, so as to have time with Joan and our Children, I would only work a 4 day week, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday would be FAMILY TIME', an Old Fashioned Idea. I turned down the thought of working with Don, as he was driven on a 5 day week in downtown
St. Louis. I work from my Office in Creve Coeur, 1.2 miles from Home, and have for 56 Years, 4 days a week
The Donald L. Bryant Relationship halted when Don took a sabbatical
from the Industry, to attend Classical Art Classes in London England.
Don brought in two very Bright and Sharp Lawyers to His Insurance
Practice, Dale and Roger Cammon, and both survive Don in the Practice, as Don had moved on to a Winery in Napa Valley CA.,and was
there until his Life Taking Medical Problems took Donald, and His
Wife Bettina remained to Close Down Don's many Interests, and His
Vast Art Collection.
Don was a Great Man, a Successful Man, and a Dear Friend, but we had no Personal contact for the final years of His Life.
I do wish I had known of His Passing, as I would have attended His
Services, and still Pray for Young Donald, as Don was 10 years younger than me.
Love forever Don, and Prayerfully we will Meet Again, in the House, Not Made with Hands, Eternal in the Heavens.
Bill, and (Joan, Dec.) Halliburton

Dear Donald L. Bryant Jr. Family:
Don and I had a wonderful Business Relationship in the Life Insurance Business and the Million Dollar Round Table.
Don was Outstanding in so many ways, and when he moved to Napa Valley, I was told by Associates of Don's not to try to communicate with Don as He was totally (out of it, and would not know me).
I always had great Respect for Don, and we went through the Masters Degree in Financial Services
together at the American College in Bryn Mawr PA.
I do wish I had known, as I would have been at Ladue Chapel on April 1st.
My oldest daughter Kim too went to Denison University in Granville OH., and too Had met Don
for Lunch with me at the MAC, and she too became an Attorney, in Columbus, OH.
I will lovingly miss the Memories, as All were outstanding Memories in our History together.
Love to Don's Wife and Children.
