Donald Chase

I remember as a young child we lived in Corpus and our parents hung out with Don and Shirley. Don, my Dad - Dann, and all we boys went camping near a river and played King of the Mountain on a large rock in the river. If I remember correctly, we rarely, if ever, got one of our Dads off the rock but it was a great time for all.

Some of my earliest memories in life are of my Dad - Dann Welch, Mom, brother, and sister and I on family outings or grilling out with Don, Shirley and the boys. I am sorry to hear of Don’s passing. May GOD keep you all in his arms to guide and comfort you as he welcomes Don to his new home in heaven. RIP Don. Our prayers and condolences are with you all.

Barnard and I are saddened to learn of Don's passing. Barnard first met Don in 1958 while working in the oil industry in Corpus Christi, Texas. They worked together for almost 30 years. Don was a personal friend as well as business colleague. He was an exceptional man -- of high integrity and character. He will be missed. We send our condolences to Shirley and family. I enjoyed Don's friendship for over 50 years. His engineering and executive prowess was greatly admired at Texas Oil and Gas Corp. I lost a true friend.
