Papaw, I never thought this day would come so soon. I wish it never had. You were always a person i could go to when i needed anything! You helped me through alot over the years, and i'll never forget you Papaw! I made you a promise not too long ago, you asked me to take care of Mamaw and i promised i would. Papaw i plan on keeping that promise!

I know you've been gone for almost a week now but i still think of you as being here. The memories are still fresh in my head. but the picture that comes to my head when i think of you is walking into the living room and you sitting in your chair, watching westerns/wrestling smoking a cigarette. I'm glad that you got to watch your wrestling last monday! I knew it was something you would love. I will always remember watching wrestling with you! yelling at the T.V! and wanting so bad for one person to win but knowing that it was all planned before hand.

I love you Papaw! I never will forget you!!!!!

Love your grand-daughter Kayla

Daddy,
You were truly one of a kind and there will never be another like you. You were my fishing buddy and I will miss you sitting on the riverbank beside of me. I remember when I was a little girl and you would take me fishing; whenever I would get bored sitting there you would play babydolls with me a memory I will never forget. I am also glad that I am able to share the memory of your last fishing trip on June 7, 2009 even though it was only for about an hour and we didn't catch anything. I will treasure that memory forever. I awaited the day when you would feel well enough to go again and that day never came. Now your in Heaven catching the big ones. You were a very strong person daddy and I hope that I can be as strong as you someday. You will never be forgotten. I miss getting to tuck you in at night and tell you that I love you, but I know that you are no longer in pain. It's going to be tough traveling through life without your advice or your seal of approval, or simply without seeing your smile. I love you so much daddy. Love Daddy's little girl.
