Jean, It was a pleasure to be able to work with Don in service to Veterans. His work as a volunteer at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, as a driver witht he transportation network, with the honor guard, and as the VA Voluntary Service Representative for the American Ex-Prisoners of War and Disabled American Veterans. He donated more than 7,250 hours of service to our Veterans in addition to his many other volunteer activities. He spread much joy to our Veterans and their families. Thank you for sharing Don with us. His loss will be keenly felt by his Voluntary Service family.

Jean and family, our deepest sympathy, I was fortunate enough to meet Donald through the POW reunions. I have met some of the most amazing people from those reunions. Reading his obituary is amazing, but not surprising. They are a great group of men, amazing what they endured and the positive impact they had on everyone they touched. He will be truly missed by many, many people. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Don was a special friend and great volunteer. I worked with him for many years and I could always count on Don to complete the job! My thoughts and prayers are with his dear wife Jean as well as his family and fellow Ex-Pow friends! Don always had a smile for everyone he met!

Don not being volunteering has been a day without sunshine. We always had good laughs and he could ice to the eskimos. We will ALWAYS remember Don.

My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the Denny family and friends, of which Don had many. Don was a great man and an even greater human being. He touched many lives and will be missed but not forgotten. He was proof that hard work, honor, dedication and a lot of humor can go a long way in life. In addition it is men and women like Don that enable the rest of us in the United States to enjoy the many freedoms that we have and for that I am truly grateful. God bless all and Don, may you Rest In Peace.

Rest in Peace Don. A simple "Thank You" seems not enough to express our Graciousness to you for serving and protecting our country., but it is heart felt. I never had the chance to meet you, but you sir, are well respected, well liked, and have a well earned excellent reputation. Prayers for Peace to you, your family, and friends Don.
