Donald FOSTER Obituary
November 25, 1922 - October 21, 2012
Don Foster passed away peacefully in his 89th year on October 21, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Evelyn, of 54 years in 2001.
Left to mourn his passing, three wonderful sons, Daryl (Coleen), Dwight (Wendy), Darcy (Sandra); 13 grandchildren, Aaron, Sean (Tina), Brent (Ilsa), Craig, Neil, Dane, Heather (Brandon), Ryan, Stacey, Allison, Matthew, Mark, Tyler; nine great-grandchildren, Courtney, Madison, Sydney, Cole, Alex, Keaton, Jordan, Brandon, Jacob; four sisters, Jean, Madge, Joyce, Shirley; one brother Gordon. Predeceased by one brother Bob.
Don served in the federal government for over 40 years with more than 28 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. He was wounded in France during WWII and also served in Korea. He was a quiet man with a big heart and always ready for a game of cribbage.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church, 5003 - 146 Avenue, Edmonton. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Room 200, 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5.
