DONALD GORDON Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 13, 2021.
GORDON, DONALD EARLE Peacefully, on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Georgetown Hospital, with his family by his side. Don, in his 78th year, beloved husband of Susan (nee Nicoll) for 54 years, loving father of Andrea (Chris) and Jenn (Michael), proud grandfather of Dylan, Tayden, Jake, Addison, Teagan and Carson. Loved by his brothers Paul (Catherine) and David (Gail), sister-in-law Harmonie (Brian) and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother John (Marion). Born and raised in Etobicoke, Don lived most of his married life in Mississauga, ON. Don valued his family and friends and openly shared his ideas about life and how important it was to nurture relationships. He believed in the importance of friendship and how good friends enrich one's life. His 65 years of friendship with Steve, Jim and Bob is a testament to how much he valued all relationships. Don's 15-year journey with Parkinson's Disease slowly robbed him of his physical and cognitive health but was never able to take away his spirit or sense of humour. He lived his life with love, kindness, respect, and integrity and always celebrated and embraced life even in the face of immense challenges. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Don's life will take place when it becomes safe to gather. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation, Alzheimer Society (Halton Region) or Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.
