Mine and Dorothy's deepest sympathy to the family. I never met him ---but must have been a good man to raise a son as fine as Steve.

Don Groen was a wonderful boss and mentor. He taught me so much during my days at the Bloomington Chamber. He was so kind, so encouraging. He made an impact in my life and my career. My condolences to the Groen family and the city of Bloomington. A treasure has been lost.

to the man with unfaltering faith and unconditional love who was known to some for his earthly accomplishments as Mr Bloomington and as one of the founding fathers of Mall of America, but better known to the rest of us for his legacy of faith, family, and devotion to anything he did. the man never complained once, even in the worst of your suffering. you pushed through 6 years of cancer and never quit till the Lord said you were done. we miss you so much.

To the family of Don Groen-
Don gave me my first job out of college at the Bloomington Chamber and I am forever grateful. That job was the start of a wonderful communications career for me. He was a great mentor and I will never forget the faith he had in me. My sympathies.

My sympathies to Don's family. I worked with him at the Bloomington Chamber years ago, and he was so instrumental in making Bloomington the fine city it is today. He was such a caring, genuine person, and his love for his family was paramount in his life. You will miss him deeply, as will many whose lives he touched.

Dear Kathy & family,
We express our sincere sympathy on your loss, yet we know that Don is at home with his heavenly father. Don was a great mentor in the chamber business. Beyond that he was a good friend as we often talked about the "good old days" of the southern suburbs. Thanks for sharing Don with us.
