Donald DeVere Hansen Jr

It has been over a year since his passing and we think about him often.

Don was a precious friend, hero and great father. Don never missed an opportunity to rib someone or play a joke on people.

My wife for the past 62 years has been known as STINKY because of Don. When she was a girl scout her photo was going to be published in the local newspaper, but the next morning a picture of a skunk was posted instead, Don pinned the name STINKY on her from that day forward.

Of all the things we shared over the years Don never once mentioned his middle name was De Vere. I would have had a good time with that, Don De Vere, sounds like the name of a game show host on Telemundo TV. Don De Vere come on down! When we went kayaking we always had a Carl's Jr grilled chicken and pineapple burger. I will never eat one without thinking of what a wonderful dear friend he was, Don will forever live in our hearts!
