Don, it is been a few years since your passing. Your memories remain with me to this day. You were truly a blessing in my life and a blessing for our country.

Don is a real hero! Wounded twice in World War II, he is the type of person we think of when we hear the phrase "Greatest Generation" . May God bless and comfort the family.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

I had the pleasure of meeting Don first as a health care provider than as friend through the Knights of Columbus companionship program. For over seven years I heard stories of the WW II battles in which Don engaged. He will be best remembered as a survivor both in terms of longevity in which he outlived his siblings to surviving battles in which he was the only survivor. We shared several special moments together performing tasks such as replacing the drive belt on his lawn mower which gripped so well it literally did wheelies with this 90 yr old man on board, we had to turn the idle down so it wasn't so abrupt.
He was a true joy to visit and appreciated each visit and was sure to tell me so each time. He will be missed, I would like to thank Diane O'neil for being there for him in his final months and moments and the family for allowing me to spend time with someone so special. Thank you!!!!
