Donald Harris Obituary
Don was born October 9, 1941, to the Late Donald and Eleanor Harris and raised in Avon Lake Ohio. He retired after 36 years at the Ford Motor Company's Lorain Assembly Plant. Don was a family man who loved spending time with his 3 children, 9 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. He loved life and enjoyed many activities and interests including camping, fishing, motorcycle riding, vintage cars, and playing cards. He was a fan of NASCAR racing and was a drag racer in his youth at Dragway 42 in West Salem Ohio. Don was a great mechanic and handy man who could fix or repair almost anything and loved to help others with their projects. He was loved by friends and family alike.
Don was preceded in death his loving wife Diane Lynn of 53 years, his Grandson Dennis Mark Jr. and siblings Lawrence, James and Jean. Don is survived by his wife Vicky, his children Donald R.( Robyn ) Harris, Dennis Mark ( Angela ) Harris , and Daphne Lynn. (Michael) Harper. His Grand Children Corbin, Mary, Marcus, Hunter, Brock, Krista, David, Danielle, and Donald ( Alex ). Great Grandchildren Liam, Eliott, Hattie, Bryson, Delilah, Hailey, Mikal, Jason, Chandler, Chase, Jacob, Paige and Maverick. And his Great-Great Grandson Xavier.
A celebration of Don's life will take place on at 11am Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Life Church, 1033 Elm Street, Grafton, OH, 44044.
