I’m adding my kind thoughts and prayers to Cindy Hight and family over the recent death of Don. He was the kind and gentle maintenance technician at the nursing home where we both worked. The most friendly and resourceful and team player I ever experienced working as an administrator. I want to commend the family and many caregivers and Don himself working with and thru Don with this life robbing disease. It takes a lot of courage and a lot of adaptation and patience to endure this kind of loss. MayGod give you all strength as you work thru this loss as a family, and May it be a time of remembrance and healing.

I was traveling at the time of Don’s passing. Don worked with me at the Scotland Good Samaritan Center for several years. He was kind and resourceful and could fix just about everything. We often took on projects together and were able to do many things to improve the convenience and lives of the residents and staff. Both being humorous, we played a lot of practical jokes on each other. After his and my retirement we enjoyed visiting together at Active Generations. Tom Hoy, retired Administrator, Good Samaritan.

I met Don when I would serve dinner in the memory care unit. I was always happy to see him. He was so very kind to me and to the other people- often putting them first. He was one of the kindest people I know- I will miss him. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. He was a great man.
