There’s a popular book titled Ali really need to know I learned in Kindergarten. For me it was laterthe 3–1/2 years I worked at KHP. Don (and Jules) were infinitely kind and generous with their knowledge and compassion. There isn’t a day that goes by where I have fond memories working with them. Whenever i dabble in a crossword I remember Don did the Sunday NYT crossword. In ink.
Blessings to his family.

Don was my first boss (KHP) while I was in HS. (I'll just say it was all downhill from there.) He was everything one could possibly ask for in an employer; a friend; a confidant; a father figure. He was impossibly fair, kind, consistent, supportive, and super smart. Watching him do the Sunday NYT crossword puzzle -- IN INK -- was equal parts dumbfounding and astonishing. I was privileged to share his early family days and enjoyed babysitting his beautiful kids. My one major life regret was that I didn't take up his offer to follow him to NML. I'm sure I would be a far better person today. But I did ok, in no small part because I've never forgotten his many words of wisdom; they have guided me through numerous rough patches. Sheila and kids... I hope you know how loved you were. And how lucky we all were to have known such a remarkable man. Blessings to you all.

I worked for Don (and Jules) at KHP throughout most of high school. I have often said that I learned more in that job than in any classroom. Those lessons have stayed with me all my life. Don was one of a kind and I shall continue to miss him dearly ... but more so knowing that I´ll never be able to reconnect with him. It is a huge and immeasurable loss. My love to Sheila and the kids.

I always admired Don so much for his courage and leadership. He was strong and I learned a lot from him
watching his leadership. I also learned not to bet on golf. Prayers to the entire family. joe & sheryl teague

Amazing, amazing man - he leaves an incredibly family and he will be truly missed. First thing that always comes to mind when thinking about D is that boisterous and genuine laugh.
