Donald Jackson

Donald "Don" Jackson, age 80, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025.

He is survived by his devoted daughters, Teresa Lynn Jackson Pettry (Jeffery) and Kimberly Dawn Jackson, and his beloved grandchildren, Austin Robert Pettry and Corinne Terese Pettry. Don was the cherished son of Clara Slayden Jackson and the late Harrison Jackson. He was a loving brother to Constance Jackson Guibord (Gerald) and Tony Clifton Jackson, and was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Jackson Stanhope.

Born in 1944, Don graduated from Tomlinson Memorial High School in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 1963, where he served as the business manager of the annual staff and publisher of the TMS Beacon. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 during the Vietnam War.

A man of faith, Don was a dedicated member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 65 years. It was within this community that he met his sweetheart and the mother of his children, his former wife who he remained close with, Patricia Long Jackson.

Don enjoyed a successful 30-year career as a real estate agent, known for his integrity, warmth, and genuine care for his clients. His efforts helped countless families find their first homes and navigate life's transitions.

His passions included motorcycle riding, gardening, cooking, car detailing, and most of all, spending quality time with his family and church community. Don's generous spirit, kind heart, and deep devotion to those he loved will be profoundly missed.
