Mrs. Jeane,
I am so sorry to hear of your husband's passing. I remember his sweet spirit and your obvious love for each other. So thankful that he is with Jesus. You are in my prayers.
Love,

Greg was my friend and colleague at Samford for many years. He was professional and highly competent in his work, and a generous and supportive friend. I can't think of a time when our conversations didn't include laughter and joy. He loved the land, its people, culture, and folkways, and was happiest when exploring it and sharing it with others. He built the geography program according to his own vision and high standards. His leadership helped build Howard College into a liberal arts powerhouse. But he did it all without losing his humble, aw-shucks demeanor. I delighted in seeing him and having long, rambling conversations full of his stories. I also taught Charles when he was at Samford. Greg so loved his family. He was a dear friend and colleague. I'm a better person because I knew him. I will miss him dearly. My deepest sympathies to his friends and family. Stephen Chew
