Don, and all of the Jump Family go all the way back to about 1952, when our family of Brent, & Marion Burrell, with kids Mike, Pat, Pete and Laurie moved to Alamosa, CO from Lamar, CO. The parents met, and all of the children all met, and besides neighbors, we all became close friends, which in general terms still is the case to this day. Don, Denny, and Mike and Pat we all pretty close in age, so we shared all kinds of time with each other, and as time passed all 4 Burrell kids became close friends with all five Jump siblings. In fact Don's sisters, Pat and Peggy were the oldest, and baby sat us as we grew up. Brother Phil, also played with us, and traveled with us as a child-sitter. Both families moved to CA in 1957, to Roseville in the Jump Family's case, and to San Rafael in the Burrell families case. Some of the activities we all did were huge picnics, after school and summer playtimes, movies, and BBQ's. Our family will miss Don, (and Denny), but they will always be a part of our lives, and will never be forgotten.
All of the Jumps are like family to us, and we love them all.
