In memory of
Leon R. Golding
July 5, 2014
Donald G. Lamp was a great person and founder of Lamp Rynearson & Associates. I worked at Lamp Rynearson 11 years+ with Veterans on the job training for two years. Mr Lamp was always a perfect gentlemen and eager to lend a helping hand. I am sure all his friends, relatives and employees will miss him forever. (6/05/2014)

I remember your Dad as such a sweet, warm, and welcoming presence, not to mention a great American. Your parents raised a beautiful family and their joy and spirit for life and for this country will live on for years to come.
Our thoughts, prayers, and love are with you.

Dear Russ and Family,
I was so glad to have worked 3 summers as a college student at Lamp Rynearson, and to get to know the wisdom, kindness, and great example Don gave to us all...and always with that light touch, a helping hand...must have been a tremendous Dad.
Our condolences.

Don and Marj were two of the kindest, most thoughtful people I have been fortunate enough to know---their life and legacy touched so many and continues through their wonderful family---I feel grateful to have known them and grateful for the influence they have had on my family. It's a time of celebration. Joanne, I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I remember visiting Ginger Cove long ago and the interesting financial advise your father gave us as newly weds. Since he had worked with my Uncle Jud Birch I respected his knowledge and years of experience. He contributed so much to this world through his values and hard work. Your family is in our prayers.

Ginni,
I am truly sorry for your loss. Your father was a very special person and I remember well his words of encouragement in the 1980 congressional nomination race even though he had pledged his support to my opponent.
May your thoughts be on all the great times and philosophy you shared.

I will always remember the trips to Ginger Cover and Ginger Woods and the lovely boat rides around the lake. The Lamps were always so friendly to the family welcoming the Smith's. We had so much fun at their house. I will miss them both greatly. My God Bless their family and ease their pain at this time.

I may be the only person with memories of my brother as a teenager. We lived on a farm, and I recall that he had a summer job with CCC (look it up if you don't know) using the farm's truck. I loved being in the barn while he milked cows and sang funny little ditties to me. It was a shock when he went off to college, but he (and Marjorie too) was ALWAYS my personal hero.

I remember Uncle Don (and Ginni) taking me water skiing at Ginger Cove, and going for a boat ride on the Potomac River when he and Aunt Marjorie visited us crazy Jacobs (his sister Betty's family) in Virginia. Then some nice dinners in AZ when they would come out for the Army Corps of Engineering reunions - hope I got that right!
Love and prayers to all the extended Lamp family.

I remember "Uncle Don" fondly. He visited my mom and all of us "kids" several times in Tucson. He and Marjorie were always great to have visit. I recall visiting Uncle Don and Aunt Marjorie when i was young, probably 6 years old, and going out on his boat in "his" lake. It was a great memory. Joanne and Ginnie, I am sorry for your loss, but I am glad to hear that Uncle Don is no longer suffering.

Him and his accomplihments were highly regarded among his peers. A grand stature of a gentleman and scholor. To Ginny, Marge, family and friends -
The many contributions of the Lamp family members and Don in paticular, will long be appreciated and remembered. My parents Bob and Ruth Denney passed away in 1980 and 2007 respectively. Yet, I vividly recall get-togethers, events, campaigns, central committee meetings and "energizing" conversations we shared over the years! Most were centered around our mutual affiliation and support of republican politics. Fun memories that never fade.
My sincere sympathies on Don's passing. You will be in my thoughts and prayers this holiday season.

Our father had such a marvelous life full of love, wonderful travels and adventures, a great career, dear friends, and a very loving family -- you couldn't really ask for much more. He loved his country and as is evident in the photo, proudly served in the Pacific in World War II. Luckily, he wrote many stories and a very detailed account of his service which I know we are all very glad to have. He was a wonderful and very well-loved father, grandfather, and great grandfather and we will miss him. Thank you for your kind messages to the family.
