In memory of
Noralyn Giles
February 14, 2010
I recently found a card in my baby memories box from my daughters birth in 1999. She was born in June and Mr. McNeely gave me a picture frame for her. She was born with Down Syndrome and he was truly supportive of the news of my new adventure. Mr. McNeely was my favorite passenger at Northwest Airlines in San Jose, California. I was saddened when I googled his name and found that this earth had lost him. I will always love his honesty, independence, care for human kind, compassion for life, blue eyes that reminded my of my dad and he never woke socks. He will be missed here but I trust we will see him again. Noralyn Condit-Giles, San Ramon, CALIFORNIA.

Dear McNeely Family,
Your father and grandfather is remembered at the Pembroke Hill School in Kansas City, Missouri for renovating the Primary Library and sending beautiful flowers in honor of his wife each week for many years. The library is now known as the McNeely Primary Library. You are invited to visit any time you are in the Kansas City area.
He will be missed!
Sincerely,
Kay Windsor,
Primary Librarian

He was a loving man to his children. Something I was fortunate to witness.
I will always hear his big, booming voice calling out for Nora to come to the phone! He will be remembered for his kindness and love of life....

Dear McNeely Family,
It was at the St. Paul Athletic Club that I had the fortunate gift of getting to know your wonderful Father. I was a server and a student at the University of Minnesota at the time.
It was immediately evident of how kind of a man he was. He was inspirational to all just by his attitude that he always possessed.
Although I only knew him briefly, his warm demeanor and caring gestures left a lasting memory of warmth to all that knew him.
My sincere condolences to you all.

Mr. McNeely was one of the most elegant men I have had the pleasure to meet. He personified the word CLASS! I serve as Director of Community Relations for the Minnesota Vikings, and Mr. McNeely was always supportive of our community outreach efforts and our players always enjoyed seeing Mr. McNeely when he came out to practice. God Bless.

Dear Greg and Family: So sorry about your Dad. Remember, we were good friends in grade school and Catechism at St. Mary’s of the Lake on Sunday mornings. I remember you and your Dad came to my house to pick me up to go back to Manitou Island and play. I remember that huge trampoline in your backyard. We had a lot of fun. Even though I never really knew your father very well, he definitely had a fully successful life. I have thought about you on many occasions over theses many years and what you were doing. God Bless.

My dad, George, worked for the McNeelys from ca 1940 until his retirement in 1976. From the Mpls Terminal warehouse, to Midway, and then to Mira Loma Space Center in CA. I met Mr. McNeely on several occasions, and always found him to be gracious and unassuming. He once got us tickets to the Vikings game in San Diego. On my dad's death in 1977, he had us to lunch at the Space Center office in St Paul, and facilitated the life insurance and profit sharing settlements for my mom, and he and Charlie Arend delivered them personally. He also arranged to have a scholarship fund established in my dad's name at my alma mater, the University of CA, Riverside.

Don was one of the most gracious people
I have known. He always did it right.
He dearly loved his children and the
Vikings.
