My heart is heavy for you. I am comforted that he and Patsy are sharing coffee and a bridge game. I have never known such a warm gentle soul. He brightened the world. I'm grateful to have shared his little corner.

We Love You all and know the world has changed forever for all. His kindness and gentle spirit will be missed by all.
I would imagine the coffee club in heaven has gotten a whole lot better!

Don was an exceptional person,I always knew as a neighbor I could ask and get expert advice about yard improvements.Brenda and my Grandchildren were always admiring his blueberry bushes. Retha God bless you and your family.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I retired from FmHA in 1996 and our paths (sadly) never crossed again. Don was a fine man, and I thoroughly enjoyed knowing and working with him.

I lived across the rural road from Don from t he year he was seven and I was six. We played together and worked tobacco together, went to Sunday SChool together, and compete against each other(he always won on the playground or at table games!) It was my honor to hear his and Retha's vows. It was my loss that we did not keep in touch more closely but I am thankful we re-connected for his last days. In Don Norman we experience what the Bible called "the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."
