We will miss Don very much. He and Sandy and their girls have been a big part of our life in the north woods. We will never forget the Swamp Fox!

The year Uncle Don took my brother and me to a lake in Michigan for bass fishing when I was 11 yrs old will always be a part of me. And getting to deer hunt from the cabin in my later years left my sides hurting from his sense of humor. I didn't get to see that side of the family nearly enough, but will always remember my uncle. I'm so sorry for my Aunt and cousin's loss. He was way too young! Looking forward to seeing him again on the other side......and I'm sure he'll have all the best spots for hunting lined up.

Mr. Nuffer was a legend for those who went to Oscoda Area Jr. High. My condolences to the family.

So sorry that Don is no longer with us.
There are too many stories I could share.
My favorite was when we snuck out of of school to go walleye fishing on Hubbard Lake.
We did first hour then left.
There was stuff going on in the afternoon, Mary Anne Bartel's Spring Choir Concert.
Don and I were fishing by 10:30 AM.
AND
Our trip to the UP
Getting lost at my hunting camp
Coaching wrestling and basketball
Standing by the door in the morning when the kids got off the bus
Going sticking with him
And more
We had fun.
Think about you Sandy, Buffy, Heather, Jason and your families.

Such an accurate description of Don- my friend throughout high school as was his wife, Sandy. Many laughs, many memories. Love to Sandy and entire family.
