Donald Raymond Pitts, age 83, Resident of College Station, TX, went to meet Jesus on January 15, 2024.
Donald was an Allstate insurance agent for 42 years, where he received many awards. He was a member of the HLSR (Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo) and an active member at Wellborn Baptist Church until he was unable. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Francis Elrod Pitts and Helen Argro Marbut Pitts, one brother Marbut ”Buddy” Pitts, one sister Virginia Stewart, and one daughter Darla Pitts.
Donald is survived by his wife June Pitts of College Station; daughters Terri Klehm (husband James) of Katy, TX, Mandy Shepard (husband Dave) of Richmond, TX, Daphne Jurries (husband Tony) of Round Rock, TX, and Dana Lang (husband Everett) of Houston, TX; sons Robert Ewing of College Station and David Pitts (wife Mardi) of Pennsylvania. Donald had 10 grand kids, 7 great grand kids, and niece Helen Bradshaw {Tuta} (Sam) and their sons.
We would like to say a special thanks to his care takers at Hudson Creek during his stay there as well his hospice nurses during his last few weeks. Words just cannot express our gratitude.
We will host a come and go reception at the house following the service.
