Donald Prillman Obituary
Donald was a devoted Husband and Father with a wonderful sense of humor and a strong desire to give back to his community. He volunteered regularly with Food Banks, Athletic Events, and Hospitals, displaying his dedication to helping others. His commitment to education was evident to all who knew him. He spent his career as an educator in the Alfred I. DuPont School District in Wilmington Delaware. Donald took great pride in his work, especially during his time as a fifth-grade teacher at Forwood Elementary School, where he inspired his students to embrace learning and develop self-confidence.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Joanna Lou (Johnson) Prillman, his children Donald "Keith" Prillman, Jr. and spouse Susan (Lynch) Prillman, Paula Jean Prillman and spouse Rhonda Hoffman, and Phillip Brian Prillman and life partner Jesus Carrasquillo, as well as his Granddaughter Kate Hayden (Prillman) Cockman, Husband Matt Cockman, and beloved Great Grand Children Cole and Jake Cockman, and sister Jean. Donald was predeceased by his parents John and Minnie Prillman, and brother William Prillman.
Following his wishes, there will be no memorial or funeral services
The family invites former students, colleagues, and friends to share any memories they have of Don with his family by sending them to Phillip Prillman, PO Box 5005, Key West, FL, 33045.
