What at terrific man Don was. We were friends at Plattsburgh state and worked together in the summer for orientation. He was kind, caring and always looked out for others. I was the New York boy he took to his grandparent's house for thanksgiving over 40 years ago. What a memory that I have shared throughout the years. Training me to Milk a cow, wow! I am just reading of his passing in the annual alumni news and I was blown away. To his family, kids and parent's, I thank you for letting me be a part of his life and I am so very sorry for your loss.

Don and I were roommates in the Academy, we both went to Troop C, at which time he returned my night stick to which had rolled under the bed while packing after graduation, I also worked with him at PSU , he was the most calm and levelheaded person I knew on that job, only learned of his passing from the Trooper magazine, a good man gone to early, From Dave Rodriguez

A truly great and caring individual that was willing to share his knowledge with others. I worked with Don for several years in Albany and learned a lot from him. He was truly missed when he left Albany. My condolences to his family and friends.

In the late 80s and early 90s, Don was my closest friend. Many adventures, including sailing and skiing. He is truly missed. My sincerest condolences to his family. -Glenn Miner
