Donald Ringler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 16, 2016.
Donald Kenneth Ringler, age 81.

Donald Kenneth Ringler, 81, of Westminster, CO passed away November 15, 2016 at Greenridge Place. Born in Berlin, Pennsylvania to Adabelle and Donald Leroy Ringler in 1935. He lived most of his life in Colorado but spent time traveling for work and the service where he served the US Navy during Korean Conflict from 1952-1960.

Known to many as Kenny and to others as Don; he was a loving friend, father, uncle and grandfather. Married to Sandra Saathoff May 8th, 1950 they spent much of their lives raising a family, building a home and spoiling those that they loved. There was never a stranger to enter their home treated as foe but welcomed as family instead. They hosted many of parties; including card nights, christmases, their son's wedding, and countless birthdays.

A master plumber by trade, he spent many years working for Elfin Plumbing & Heating as well as St. Anthony's North hospital. Don enjoyed cars & motorcycles, woodworking & stained glass, golfing, playing cards and traveling in his free time. Active as an Elks Lodge member, he spent time after retirement working as at Hyland Hills Golf Course Ranger and spoiling his dog Shadow.

Don was a hardworking and strong man who loved his family proudly. Succeeded by his children, Daughter Pamela and Husband Michael; Son Robert and Wife Christy; Granddaughters Randi, Sammi, Alex, Lorin and Danielle; and Grandsons Cody and Tanner.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21st following the funeral service at the Thorfinson residence located at 1065 Harlan Street, Lakewood, CO 80214.

Add your message here.Pam, my heart is heavy tonight and I want all you guys to know how much I loved and respected Don and Sandy. I can't imagine how bad this stings for you guys, Lorelee and I shed tears tonight and reminisced about all the good times we had at the Ringler house growing up and growing old together. Don is and will always be special to us and as you know the world wasn't kind at times to us over the holidays, that said we were always invited to the Ringler house and most importantly we were treated like family. I just think it is important to let you guys know that the memories, all the amazing times your mom and dad spent, and all the holidays will never be forgotten and we will cherish the friendship's forever. I am so sorry, please let us know if we can help in any way.

Randi, Pam and Mike,

I'm truly saddened by the news of the passing of your Dad / Grandpa. Family can never be replaced and neither can the special place they hold in your hearts and memories. Please take comfort in knowing that one day you will be reunited. If I can do anything I'm here for you.

Please share this with Sami and Peanut as I did not have their phone numbers.

God bless you all,
Code

Don,
Thanks for your service to our nation. Thanks for your service to our Lodge and being such a good friend to Nance and myself for so many years. All the golf and good times we shared will never be forgotten. You and Sandy were great partners and so much fun together. And now you are finally together again, for which we are so happy. GOD bless you both!
