Donald J. Ruscitti, 77, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township), died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, in his home. Born in Donora, June 18, 1933, he was a son of Fannie (Biancia) Ruscitti, who survives and resides in Rostraver Township, and the late Frank Ruscitti. Donnie was the owner of the former Peasant Village Restaurant in Rostraver Township. He served on the Westmoreland Water Authority since 1983 and had been chairman of the board of the Water Authority for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Township, where he was an usher and a member of the Holy Name Society. He attended St. Vincent College in Latrobe and California University of Pennsylvania, and was a member of Columbus 500. He was a veteran of the Army and served during the Korean War. Donnie was truly loved by all who knew him. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Thelma L. (Colantoni) Ruscitti; son, Donald F. Ruscitti, of Rostraver Township; three daughters, April (Todd) Tilson and Amber Ruscitti, all of Rostraver Township, and Tina (Charles) Yetsconish, of Washington Township; grandson, Cameron Tilson, whom he dearly loved; brother, Roland (Mary) Ruscitti, of Rostraver Township; and sister, Donna Campano, of Clairton. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township, (724-929-7934), where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Anne, Rostraver Township, with the Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com.
