Mr. Donald R. Septer

Septer, Donald R., age 83 of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Southgate, MI, passed away July 20, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband of Pauline. Dear father of Donald A. (Sharon) Septer, Joyce (Danny) Kessler, David R. (Jackie) Septer, Jill (Joel) Clement, Jenny Byrd, Shari (David) Wilson, and stepdaughter Patti Trost. Proud grandfather of 16, and great grandfather of 23. Also survived by a sister Maxine Skinner, sister-in-law Nancy (Dennis) Peltier, many nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog Chico. Preceded in death by his first wife Doris, mother Gladys, sister Carol, and brothers Jim and Larry. After serving in the United States Army, Donald would retire from RB&W of Livonia, MI, before co-founding Taylor Tube Products of Taylor, MI. He was an inventor, an elder at both the Huron Valley Reformed Church in Rockwood, MI, and Venice Reformed Church in Venice, FL, and an avid Detroit Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays baseball fan. Donald was a superman, always known as being dependable, and admired by his family, friends, and neighbors. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
