Shell, Donald 1/26/1933 - 1/15/2019 Brooklyn Donald E. Shell age 85 a resident of Brooklyn MI, passed away at home with his family present Tuesday January 15, 2019. He was born on a cold January morning in Wyandotte, Michigan. The year was 1933. The fourth of six sons born to Millad and Flossie Shell. Raised on the family farm he was no stranger to hard work with long days of planting, tending, and harvesting. His father Millard taught him carpentry and how to play guitar. He played football (*ole' hard head), joined the circus, operated heavy earthmoving equipment, build houses, barns and shops, worked as an analytical chemistry technician, coached baseball, enjoyed singing, traveling, golf and spending time with his cat Sally Jo. He loved his family and many friends and was loved. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline, two brothers; Dr. Billy Joe Shell of Mission Hills, CA, and Jack L (wife Carole Shell of Brooklyn MI, Son Don Shell Jr. (wife Koby) of NC, and two step-sons Todd (wife Melody) Bartholomew of Union City, MI., and Timm (wife Sheri) Bartholomew of Lawton, MI. Seven Grandchildren, one Great-Grandaughter and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. There will be a Memorial for him in June for his friends here and another one in the fall in Mission, TX for his friends there.
