My sincere condolences to Lance and Family.

My sympathy to all whose lives Don touched. He lived as he loved: his hometown of Gays Mills, family, patients, UW-Madison, the Packers, fishing in Door County, and music. I will be forever grateful for his devoted care in recent years of his wife, Gerry.

Don and Gerry were lifelong friends of my mother,
Connie Hartt Hitchcock and her sons. For some time we lived only a block away from the Sherwoods in Green Bay. As a boy, I recall many times playing with Lance and Eric, and I marveled at the reel lawn mower their dad made them use- a non motorized push mower. I´ll never forget the time Don took me fishing with his boys on Lake Michigan. He let me reel in a big salmon weighing over 20 pounds. What a thrill! Dr. Sherwood was also my family doctor for a period during my youth and was always so kind to me. My mom maintained her friendship with Don and Gerry throughout her life and her moves to Florida and Ohio, and she considered them among her very best friends. Rest in peace Don- you´ve left a permanent mark on our family and you will always be remembered fondly. Our condolences to the entire family.

My condolences to the Sherwood family.
Don was a partner at the West Side Clinic when I first started practice in Green Bay. We was mild mannered and great to work with. It was a pleasure to have known him.

In fond memory of our friend Don Sherwood. The Sherwood's were our very first friends and neighbors in Green Bay. This connection began the summer of 1965 when we moved from South Dakota and just happened to rent a duplex apartment next to Don and Gerry....the beginning of a life-long friendship with the Sherwood's! Each family having two young sons, we shared dinners, babysitting as well as a camping trip to upper Michigan. We watched many Green Bay Packers games together, and the Ice Bowl was the game that the men, including my dad, braved the elements! Not long ago, Don still remembered and joked that my dad´s thermos of hot "coffee royal," which was shared by the three of them, helped save his life in the bitter cold of that day! In recent years, we were able to get together for visits both here in Arizona as well as in Green Bay. So many years of wonderful memories! Sincere condolences to Gerry; as well as Eric, Lance and all the family. Rest in God´s peace Don, you will be missed!
In deepest sympathy,
