Donald Smith Obituary
Donald B. Smith, 91, of Fostoria, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at Promedica Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. He was born in Hillsboro, Ohio, to Sylvester and Lorella (Bussey) Smith. He married Barbara Wright on Dec. 11, 1955, in Hillsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Smith of Fostoria; daughter, Cheryl (Jim) Bohanon of Jenera; son, Michael (Pam) Smith of Clarksville, Tennessee; sister, Vivian (Max) Bolen of Pataskala; grandchildren, Krista and Derek Bohanon, and Dustin, Shayne, and Trent Smith; and great-grandchild, Logan Smith.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; son, Martin Smith; and siblings, Gerald "Sonny," Irene, Mildred, and Doris.
Donald retired as a real estate appraiser for Appraisal Research Corp. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and U.S. Army veteran. He was also a former member of a barbershop quartet.
Donald's funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Mark Self officiating. Burial will be at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia, with military honors performed by United Veterans of Fostoria. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to charity of the donor's choice.
