Donald Smith Obituary
Don is survived by his two daughters, Sheryl (Bill) Watts of Lakeland and Shelly (Glenn) Johnson of Zephyrhills; four grandchildren Todd (Crystal) Browning, Megan Browning (Ben Herrick), Marley (Trevor) Freeman, and Kyle (Hayden) Watts; three great grandchildren Ella Browning, Luke Browning, and Finan Herrick; and step-grandchildren Jacob and Ericka Johnson. He is also survived by extended family Norma Cobb, Dalton Cobb, Courtney Cobb, Missy Cobb, Wanda Hoffman, Randy Hoffman, Janet Hanson, Stephanie Alexander and Emma Alexander. Don is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Patricia 'Pat' (Waters) Smith and his parents Roy and Juanita (Phillips) Smith of Evansville, Indiana.
Don was born July 25th , 1938 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. His family moved to Evansville, Indiana when he was eight years old where he spent much of his childhood and young adult years. Don still frequented Evansville to visit his family after he moved to Florida in the 1970s.
Don led a life committed to service, from proudly serving our country in the United States Airforce to dedicatedly serving at his church, First Baptist Church of Lucerne Park as well as his family, friends, and strangers alike.
Don filled his time with traveling, sports, singing, and spending time with his friends and family. He will be remembered for his love of God and his family, his generous and kind heart, and the many smiles and laughs he brought us all.
A memorial will be held Saturday, November 5 th , 2022 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Lucerne Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider donating to HPH Hospice.

I will miss playing the Piano for you at First Baptist Church of Lucerne Park and every time I hear the song "Wonderful Time up There" I think of you! Now you are there in heaven with the Saviour you love... Heaven´s Choir is singing even better now!! Til we meet again my friend! xx
