Donald Walpole Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 6 to Oct. 8, 2023.
Seattle - Donald (Don) F. Walpole, 77, of Seattle, WA passed away, Thursday, September 7, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born March 5, 1946 in Oswego, NY to the late Thomas L. and Beatrice (Bocco) Walpole.

Don served in Vietnam in the US Air Force and settled in Rochester, NY, where, through the GI Bill, he obtained his bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Rochester Institute of Technology. He spent his entire career as a chemist at Kodak, and was an expert in the photo processing, often called in to train and troubleshoot at important clients such as National Geographic and the US Military.

Don was a gifted handyman and loved helping others. His beloved wife Angie, or "Miss" as he called her was the light of his life and he lovingly custom built two homes according to her dreams. He was known for his practical jokes and for how much he loved even the most unlovable of animals. He was beloved by his seven grandchildren, who loved watching movies with him and helping him in the yard.

He is predeceased by his parents, 10 brothers and sisters, grandson, Jonah Walpole.

Surviving to cherish Donald's memory are his wife Agnes "Angie" (Bullard) Walpole of 56 years; a son, Don (Ancy) Walpole Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, daughter, Amy (Matt) Quilter of Seattle, WA, twin brother Ronald (Bette) Walpole, grandchildren, Devin, Wyatt, Brendan, Kira, Griffin, and Jameson, along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Donald's life will be Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
