Donald Robert Warmbo, 86, of Port Orchard, Washington, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025. He was born on October 9, 1938, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Vernon A. and Virginia Warmbo. Donald lived a life marked by service, passion, and faith.

Donald grew up in a close-knit family that relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 1941, settling in Port Orchard, where his father worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He embraced life in Washington, eventually making it his lifelong home. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army during a pivotal era, where he demonstrated unwavering dedication and patriotism. Donald was a passionate aviation enthusiast, and an active member of the Saints Car Club. His spiritual life was centered at Bethany Lutheran Church, where he was a committed member, finding solace and community in his faith.

He was first married to Priscilla Miller, with whom he shared a daughter, Carrie Marie Warmbo; a son, Lyle Cassius Warmbo; and twin daughters, Sarah Donalina and Charity Hope Warmbo. Donald found love again and married Anita May Van Liew in 2005. Anita predeceased him on July 22, 2024.

Donald is survived by his siblings: brother Vernon Warmbo of Federal Way, Washington; sisters Cheryl L. Farner of Port Orchard, Washington, and Donna J. Franklin of Olalla, Washington. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Larry Warmbo, twin daughters, and wife Anita.

Known for his kind spirit, quiet strength and love of family, Donald will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 151 Tremont W., Port Orchard, Wa on October 11 at 11am.
