Gone Fishing
I've finished life's chores assigned to me, So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I've been invited to the fishin' hole.
Where every day is a day to fish To fill your heart with every wish.
Don't worry, or feel sad for me, I'm fishing with the master of the sea.
We will miss each other for awhile But you will come and bring a smile.
That won't be long you will see, Till we're together you and me.
To all of those who think of me, Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I'm missin'
Just tell 'em I've gone fishin'

I always got a smile from you and it often made my day. If you needed something, you knew you could come to me. I’ll never forget you and I know, but I know, we’ll get another hug in heaven.

My husband, Rob, and I called him Mr. O. He was a good friend, but he seemed more like a family member to us. He was one of the sweetest men we have ever met. He and Rob enjoyed having breakfast together and discussing current events locally, nationally and around the world. Rob always commenting to me that he was such an intelligent man.
We were amazed at the bounty he would harvest from his garden at Shelby Farms. He definitely had a green thumb, and could also tell the location of every fishing hole around Memphis!
Rob and I were sad to hear of your passing just days before our planned visit. But, we realized that God was ready to take His servant home. We know you are rejoicing with your Savior and are enjoying homecoming with your sweet wife and your other family members.
Rest in Peace, Mr. O, knowing that your sweet spirit and your Christian values had a profound impact on our lives. We will miss you. Until we meet again. ❤
