I wrote this poem many years ago, for another brother Darrel, now, it seems also fitting for this one .You are gone but not forgotten, my brother we loved so dear. You may not walk this earth again, but your presence lingers near. Gone but never forgotten, your memory will live on , for those you left behind include, two daughters, wife and son. If many years should come and go and we're still left behind, you'll be forever in our hearts, and always on our minds. We love you brother, you were one of the best, always there for everyone, because you were, YOU ! Look for us one day, for we will be there too.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I never got to say goodbye and that will always be my biggest regret. I could go to him with all my joys and sorrows and he would listen and never judge. I.
love him so very much.

It is often noticed, that as humans, we are reminded of life's daily value when we lose someone.
However, soon after we lose someone, we always seem to fall in the rut of "everyday life" shortly after. Forgetting the value at hand, or rather, at heart. That is, until we get another reminder through a health scare, or losing someone again.
My Uncle Donald never fell into that rut though. He treated every day like it was his last opportunity to make it the best. He appreciated every meal we had at restaurants being sure to stack his burger perfectly and savor every bite. From riding the chilling water in the creeks of New England, to hitting up water slides in amusement parks, my Uncle Donald never aged. I heard stories of my father and him riding in sand dunes on dirt bikes and, in my mind, Uncle Donald was doing it with his whitened beard not looking a day younger. I couldn't imagine him being any younger than he already portrayed. He never settled for less than best when it came to his family time, work ethic, his home, definitely his motorcycles, and unforgettably his choice of a wife.
It was a comical pair, those two. Aunt Debbie and Uncle Donald made the completion of each other in ways a young boy could see and appreciate for future life goals. They kept it real. They kept it right.
Uncle Donald was more than this life's timeline limits allowed. He set a precedent for how life should be lived. For other's to see how it's done.
So let's all stack our burgers a little better, savor more bites together, ride a little harder, and truly live life real and right.

My grandfather was an amazing guy. He always made me laugh, he was the highlight of my day. He would always show me his picture albums of when he was riding his motorcycle. He is up in heaven right now riding his motorcycle and with his mother and dog shylo.
