Dear Patty, It was with great sadness I heard of Don's passing today from Bob Lindsey. He will rest in peace, as all good men like Don do. Lots of fine memories and remembrances of so many things, especially the Alarc events. Gary Lillie

Dear Patty and family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. I enjoyed Don's smile and conversation so much when he came to Day Away at the Crossing Point in Hudson. I miss him very much. I still have the article in the Hudson paper about him and he even autographed it for me.

Dear Patty and Family,
I was reminiscing today about knowing Don since I was at least younger than 6 years old. How he would always come to our house for Christmas. How we went to his parents' house for a Jewish meal. Everyone was amazed how those little Catholic kids loved the food! My deepest sympathies. Don and you hold a special place in my heart.

Dearest Patty:

What sad news. I'm so glad that Linda, Gerry and I had the chance to visit with you and Don a couple of weeks ago. We never know what life will bring us or when so we must cherish and enjoy every minute. My friendship these past 25 years with you and Don is beyond value. My deepest sympathies to you, Dina and Adam. Know that you are in my thoughts and in my heart and that if there is anything I can do to soften your sadness, please let me know.

With Love and Prayers,

If words could only wash away
The empty feeling of the day
How grand I'd be on the morrow
To have relieved you of your sorrow
But there's nothing I can say or do
Except of course to pray for you
For strength to accept what you must bear
Knowing there are friends who care
My sincerest sympathies to all of you

Dear Patty and Family...please accept our sympathies. Don will always have a special spot in my heart and prayers. I will never forget the time he was volunteering for one of our ALARC 20-mile runs (this was before he started running). He parked right across the road from a house that had a dog with a bark that scared everyone (especially me). I was running to Don when this dog came flying out to the end of his yard - barking up a storm and showing his teeth too. The look of terror on my face along with my reaction of jumping on top of Don's car most of been priceless. Don saved the day -- administered not only refreshments but tons of hugs and coaching to get me going again. For years, we laughed about that Kodak moment and my relentless fear of dogs. We will miss Don and continue to cherish the memories.
