Uncle Don
You are most of my best childhood memories and your family and mine have such a special bond. You and Aunt Shirley raised the best people I have had the good fortune to know. I miss you and I know that you are likely NOT playing canasta in heaven!
Love you

Dear Yondo Family:
I have many fond memories of your father and your whole family. Your father taught me I have to come to the door and pick his daughter up for a date, not just honk the horn! There was a tremendous amount of love displayed in your family, no doubt started from the top. Lots of hugs and kisses as people came and went from Iraquois Street. My deepest sympathy to all of you and I'll keep you in my prayers.

Dear Yondo's,
I was truly sad to hear of Don's passing last Friday. I distinctly recall meeting him in Grand Rapids on a cold winter day in the 1960's. He had flown in from Cleveland to interview with Dick Strauss and myself for the job of production manager of Advanced Packaging Corporation. We were impressed and offered him the job. And the rest is history. He was the most dedicated employee that we ever had. He toiled relentlessly and was most valuable in our success. It was my pleasure to have known him. "Duke" Gregory

Dear Yondo Family, I have many great childhood memories of days long ago spent in Garfield Heights with our family and yours. Uncle Don will be remembered as a strong, principled, athletic, funny, loving, and hard working man. He could also be a little intimidating. I knew I'd better behave as a kid around him! You always knew when he was around. He had a great laugh and often displayed it. We have lost another great role model in our family. His shoes will be very hard to fill. Deepest condolences to Aunt Shirley and the Yondo Family for their loss. It is one that we all feel. Love Roy Starner.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Don Yondo. I don't even know where to begin. Within five minutes of beginning my job at Advance Packaging he yelled at me (with that twinkle in his eye). I knew immediately he was cut from the same cloth as my father and grandfather so I yelled back at him and a fast friendship was formed. I always enjoyed working for and with him. Whenever I did something for him he always said, "Thank you, baby"...and could get away with it. He showed firmness, kindness and respect for those that worked hard for him and the Company. I learned a great deal from him. I always saw such a profound love for his beautiful wife, Shirley, and children and grandchildren. And he made sure he told my fiance (now husband of 20 years) that he had better take good care of me! I have missed him dearly in the years since his retirement. He was one of the finest people I have had the pleasure of knowing in this life. Heaven is certainly a livelier place tonight for his presence there.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Yondo family.
