Donald R Young

Donald Young, a dedicated employee at Timothy's Riverfront Grill, and life-long resident of Delaware, passed away on June 26, 2023 in Wilmington, at the age of 31.

Donald is survived by his father David B Young, and his younger sister, Eva Young, and his older brother, Joey Walker. He is also remembered through his niece and nephew Mason and Mackenzie Walker.

Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Tammy L Young.

Donald was born on September 13, 1991. He graduated from the Delaware Military Academy in 2010 and studied at Del-tech with the mindset of being a teacher. He served briefly as a tutor at Delaware Technical Community College before working at Timothy's Riverfront Grill for the final seven years of his life.

Donald was a devoted brother, a loving uncle, and a caring son. He was a carefree man that made many new friends while working behind the bar at Timothy's.

Donald enjoyed video games, chess, golf, and anything Star Wars related. He was known as someone who loved music as he taught himself how to play the guitar in his teenage years and was in a band for several years. He relished in the company of his family, coworkers at Timothy's, and especially his friends at Grottos for a late night snack and beverage. These places will always remind us of him, as well as other great times, and memories he made. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, acquaintances, and all who knew him.

A private service will be held and information will be shared soon concerning the memorial gathering and celebration.
