My daughter had a heart attack 12/8/04 and Fr. Don immediately came to the hospital at my request to administer the sacrament of anointing of the sick. My daughter has survived and we hope for her recovery. My ego will miss Fr. Don at our Int'l Dinner this year since he always came back for seconds of Kielbasa and Kapusta (Polish sausage and sauerkraut) which I cook every year. He was a lovely man and we here at Good Shepherd Parish will certainly miss him.

To know Father Don was to be richly blessed. He proclaimed God`s unconditional love for all by his words and his actions. Thanks be to God for sending this wonderful priest to the people of Good Shepherd Parish. May he rest in eternal peace and happiness.

I've only known Fr. Don a short time, during the last year and a half. He hired me as his secretary. Fr. Don was kind, sensitive and patient. We had some very enlightening discussions. I helped watch over his dog, Chico, while he was hospitalized and in the nursing homes. Chico and I would go and visit him as often as we could. Fr. Don definitely cheered up during those visits. It is God's blessing to take Fr. Don home to him. I will miss him very much but am so happy that he is with the Lord. Safe and free of medical conditions. He has touched my life with Love. Thank you Fr. Don.

Fr. Don was the man who first gave me an opportunity in 1975 to be a Teacher/Coach. Savio HS back then was a special school headed up by a special man. He was a good guy, fair as could be, a loyal friend and as tough as they come. He was called "The Hammer" for a reason. I, like all in the Savio community, only have fond memories for a man that I loved. God Bless You.

FATHER DON WAS A HERO TO ME. I RESPECTED HIM AND I LOVED HIM. HE GAVE ME A CHANCE 29 YEARS AGO TO BE A TEACHER. HE HELPED ME, GUIDED ME, AND LOOKED AFTER ME. WE HAVE LOST A GREAT MAN, AND AN EVEN GREATER FRIEND. GOD BLESS YOU FATHER DON.

Fr.Don gave me the opportunity to teach at St. Dominic Savio HS in East Boston. During his tenure as principal,Dom Savio HS reached tremendous heights. He was truly an inspirational leader and a friend to faculty and students. He was greatly respected and will be sorely missed.

Fr. Don was a champion amoung men. A quiet, competent, bold leader, he led with both love and authority. I never learned more about life and schooling than I did as his student and colleague. He's one of the major reasons I am what I am.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. As principal of St. Dominic Savio in East Boston, he was firm but fair. He was a good man, and will be missed.

Dear Joan and Tonia,

Don was my godfather, and my memories of him were as a jovial and kind man. He meant a great deal to my father, who speaks of Don quite fondly. The impression I have from Ed's stories, is that he was sort of a big brother to Don as they were only 10 years different in age. My heartfelt condolonces and prayers for you and your families.

Love and hugs,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Fr. Don. You were Eddie's and Eleanore's favorite Priest nephew. Take care of Eleanore for us.

We love you!
