Donna Baysinger Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 17, 2013.
Donna Maye Baysinger, 84, of Grangeville, Idaho, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at her home in Grangeville.

Donna was born May 8, 1929, in St. Paul, spent most of her life in Brainerd, and raised seven children in Elgin. Mom was truly a kind, gracious, gentle women. She always put family first. She never had to take a "personal holiday." She was a wonderfully gifted cook and mother. Her husband, Vanderlyn Baysinger passed Jan. 7, 2000.

She is survived by her six living children, Douglas (Gloria) Baysinger of Clover, S.C., Jeff Baysinger of Denver, Colo., Janean (Dallas) Neumann of Grangeville, Idaho, Merry (Don) Gudmundson of Lakeville, Thomas Baysinger of Jackson, Wyo., and Karin (Bill) Vetter of Grangeville, Idaho. She is also survived by a brother, Roger (Jaci) Peterson; and a sister, LuJean (Robert) Meyer both of Minnesota.

In addition to her husband, a daughter, Donna Marie Baysinger died earlier.

She enjoyed being outdoors and taking walks with her dog. She was truly a guiding light with her advice and wisdom for all of the different paths of life. She attended church on a regular basis and was a good Christian role model in how she treated others and how she lived her life. She enjoyed visits from Pastor Harold Gott and Pastor Mike Musegades. She will be missed by all her family and she was and will always be our Guardian Angel.

Memorial services will be held at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Baxter at a later date. Burial will be at Baxter Cemetery, which is a couple of blocks from her grandfathers home (where she and her husband retired to later in life) on White Sand Lake. The family enjoyed many summer picnics, swimming, and water skiing at the lake.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Syringa Hospice in Grangeville, in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Blackmer Funeral Home, 305 N. Mill St., Grangeville, ID 83530, 208-983-0740.
