Donna Lisenby Chandler

She was my junior year English teacher (86). What a wonderful woman that touched my life along with others. May you rest in peace and know you were truely loved by all. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in your loss.

Mrs Chandler you will be so sadly missed. You were my absolute favorite teacher. I appreciated your candor and respect for all of your students. Dale and family, we are so saddened to hear about the loss of Donna but rejoice that she is no longer in pain. Her life on this earth was too short but she made such a positive difference in so many people's lives. We pray for you during this time and wish you peace and understanding.

I am so saddened to hear of Mrs. Chandler's passing. I have nothing but fond memories of her. Truly, she was one of the best teachers I have ever had. One of my favorite memories of her was learning about the Transcendentalists! She would also write me and other classmates a pass nearly every day so we could go play chess in the library. As her brother, I will cherish the memories that I have of Donna. I will miss her every day but I will be sustained by the knowledge that she lived life to it's fullest extent and that she invested herself in the lives of hundreds. Knowing that you will all remember her as well is a source of great comfort. Ultimately, we know that we will be reunited in Heaven one day and that is the greatest comfort of all. Mrs. Chandler taught my 11th grade honors English and she was a wonderful WONDERFUL teacher. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She touched so many lives.

We were your neighbors for a good many years across the Street on Longivew Dr. We are so sadden by the death of Donna. May it comfort you to know we will be praying for the family and you have our deepest sympathy.

What an honor to know Donna and a true pleasure to work with her as she taught so many young adults the joy of the English language. Her life and purpose on earth was grand. She will leave a large hole in our hearts that will take a long time to heal.

I loved having Mrs. Chandler for English! She was such a fun teacher. I think I read more books during 11th grade than I read in all of high school! She really made literature fun! My deepest sympathy to her family. Donna

I would like to give my deepest sympathies to the family of Ms. Chandler. I had Ms. Chandler for 2 classes at Wren and she was always one of my most favorite teachers. I will always remember the stories she told in class and the time she invited our class to her home for a gathering. I will never forget her. May God give you all peace.

Mrs.Chandler is a very special person to me. If not for her I would have never known the joy of losing myself in a novel. She will be missed so very much. My prayers are with her loved ones, I know your pain, I lost my son in April. My God be with you always.
