DONNA CHEETHAM

Her optimism was always an inspiration to me.

To say the absolute least, Donna was a very, very special Christian lady, whom I was blessed to have had as a friend when I lived in Ottawa attending Woodvale in the late '80's. She was always there for me at a time when I was going through career, spiritual and emotional difficulties. I cannot express how grateful I am to have known this beautiful person, who is now in the arms of Jesus. God Bless You and Your family, Donna.

Donna was an inspiration to me as we served together on the shower committee at Woodvale for many years. Such creativity! We had such a fun time on that committee. I will very much miss her smile and hugs when I visit Woodvale. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I felt privileged to have Donna as my dear and, special friend for the past 30 years. We shared many trials and tribulations but there was lots of laughter and joys too. Our love for God solidified our friendship, our ties were unbreakable no matter the distance we understood each other. I am thankful that while she was in the hospital, I was able to say to Donna, ""I love you, Donna"" and she replied, " I love you too". Yes, I am grateful for her kindness, wittiness, wisdom and I am happy she is now in peace. She will be sadly missed by me - Kali Eugénie Bilowus, my Mom - Wiera, by brother - Andrew, his wife- Nicole and my niece Karine and my nephew Stéphane who all met her 30 years ago, as my Maid of Honour on my special wedding day.

Donna was a beautiful, fun, helpful and kind Christian woman. I recall her giving me comfort when my confidence was low, taking me cruising in her red sportscar, showing up to wish me well on my wedding day and reaching out after the birth of my daughter. She was a special woman who made others feel special too. May she rest in peace. Love, Jill

I love you so much Donna and you you will be deeply missed by me and my son Justin. You are free now to be with the angels and your no longer suffering.

One of Donna's greatest joys was in helping others. She was a tremendous support to all of us in the flower shop especially at holiday time. No one could clean roses like Donna! I remember her for her generous spirit, her hearty laugh and love of a good joke, her attention to detail and her desire to make others happy. Donna always knew the best restaurants to visit and she enjoyed social occasions. We will miss her cheery presence at the flower shop. Her strong faith carried her steadfastly and courageously through much personal suffering. May you now find peace Donna. We will miss you.

We will always remember Donna for her warmth, her smile, her love and care for others and her deep devotion to Jesus. Our condolences to her family.

Whenever I asked Donna how she was doing, she would remind us that everyday is a gift. What a blessing it was to hear those words then and the echo of them now. Thank you Donna.

I remember meeting Donna when Adam and I were just dating. As life progressed, our subsequent children, 3, were also blessed to know the woman that touched our lives for over 20 years.
"You will be forever missed. We take comfort in the fact that you are at peace now and send love and condolences to all of your family."

To the Cheetham Family : I met Donna @ Statistics Canada where we both work. She was such a blessing in all the she does and always have a smile on her Face. Rest in peace dear in the arms of your precious Lord.

We will always remember Donna for her beautiful smile and her words of encouragement, in a time of uncertainty in our lives. She would always do for others, even when she wasn't at her best. Donna has been healed and made whole. She's walking and talking with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray the peace and comfort of Jesus Christ over her family today, and the days to come.

Donna, you were one of the first to welcome me to Woodvale Pentecostal Church. I will never forget your kindness to a complete stranger. Your love and the light that shone through you through even the most difficult times were inspirational.

We will remember Donna as a friend who was always fun to be around, always willing to lend a hand in church and social functions. The battle is over for her now and she is living in glorious victory. Our prayers are with Donna's family. There is a hope beyond the grave.

My heartfelt condolences to all. Donna had been my neighbour for many years. She was always thinking of others. It wasn't uncommon for Dinna to show up at my door with beautiful flowers to give me. She always celebrated my daughter's school graduations by taking my daughter to dinner. She will be fondly remembered.

Donna was a special lady. She blessed my life for the first time when she and the shower committee at Woodvale put on a beautiful double wedding shower for me and Lisa in 1990. She was hardworking and committed to serving her God, which led her to bless many lives. I know that today she is with the Lord, no longer suffering the cancer she journeyed with for so long. May the peace and comfort of Jesus be upon the family over the days to come.

Donna was such a loving woman who demonstrated a love for life! She was a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, a woman of God, and so much more. She is now at peace with her Lord and Saviour.

Donna's smile would brighten the fullest day. You will be sadly missed by all your neighbors and friends, until we meet again. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cheetham family at this time. I know she is smiling down upon us all, as her pain is gone and she is at home with the Lord. We will miss you dearly Donna.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. Donna was a mentor and friend many years ago to me. As a new Christian she was always there to aide and provide solid grounding. Although our paths went in different directions she will be fondly remembered as a real genuine friend. I pray that the good Lord will bring the family through such a difficult loss, that good memories of Donna's impact on many including family will endure and sustain through this difficult time. We know that she is with the Lord where there is no more pain or suffering, walking on the streets of gold. Believe me heaven is a real place and Donna is now free from so much suffering and pain. One day, and very soon we too will meet her again if we believe and have faith in Jesus as Donna did and still does. Donna was an important part of my husbands and my life from the beginning of our marriage. She decorated for our wedding and anyone who can make an orange shag carpet look good has talent!! She also loved out girls and prayed for them and encouraged them at every opportunity.
We will miss our friend but are SO glad she is finally "home". We pray for comfort for her mom and sister who were so faithful.

Donna. was a wonderful friend and neighbor. She will be sadly missedby many. Rest in peace my dear Donna, your fight is over and now you can be at peace with the Lord. I hope you keep smiling down upon us, everyday. Godspeed on your journey to heaven.

I first got to know Donna in 1994 through the church. At that time we had "secret sisters". Although I was not her secret sister I remember her being so excited when she received a basket of strawberries from her secret sister and saying "My birthday is in July and I just love strawberries. My secret sister gave me strawberries as a birthday gift" I am truly sorry for your loss of a beautiful and bubbly person.
