Donna Elliott

ELLIOTT, Donna Lynn Donna Lynn Elliott passed away at home, surrounded by her family on December 6th 2009 at the age of 50. Donna was a beautiful and loving woman, a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter, and an extraordinary friend. Donna was born on February 8th 1959 in Regina. She grew up on the family farm in Tregarva Saskatchewan and attended school and nursing school in Regina. Donna moved to Kelowna in 1980 where she began her nursing career at Kelowna General Hospital. Donna loved water skiing in the early morning on Okanagan lake, summers at Klub Kal, skiing at Big White, her book club, mountain biking and soccer. Donna valued her many friendships. Donna is survived by her husband Allan and their children Mark, Nicole, Jeff and Allan's son David; her mother Nina Grudnizki; loving in-laws Colin and Marie Elliott; her sister Judy Martin (John) and their children Brian (Tina), Courtney (Darrel), Amy (Steve) and Drew; sister Betty Ann Grudnizki (Scott); brothers in law Phil Elliott (Linda) and their children Cody and Kate; Keith Elliott (Heidi) and their children Sarah and Michael. Donna was predeceased by her father Emery. Donna's family thanks Dr. Rachel Carver, Dr. Marianne Taylor, Dr. Islam Mohamed, and Dr. Gillian Fyles; the caring staff at the Cancer Centre of the Southern Interior; the Palliative Response Team; and the home care nurses who provided excellent care in her final days. A celebration of Donna's life will be held on Friday, December 11th at 2pm at the Evangel Church, 3261 Gordon Drive. Reception to follow.
