Our friend Donna

Donna Green was my mother's very best friend. They would talk to each other on the phone three times a day without fail. When my brother Tod, my cousin Jim, and I were growing up together, Donna felt as much like an aunt to us as she did my mom's best friend. And Donna and Mike's wonderful children, Tom and Jane, always felt to us like cousins. I last saw Donna several years ago when I was visiting Minneapolis and took her and my mother out for a Chinese dinner. We were all laughing so much, reminiscing about all the wonderful times we'd all shared together, that we could barely make it through our meal.
To Tom and Jane, and on behalf of myself, Tod, and Jim, go all
our heartfelt condolences. I know you will miss this great woman who
brought so much joy to all of us. Will Johnson

I was privileged to meet Donna and Mike (Mr. and Mrs. Green) more than fifty years ago when Tom and I were classmates in high school, and I was honored to be a guest in their home. Tom remains one of my very dearest friends today. My sympathy goes out to Tom and Jane and to Donna's extended family.

We will always remember Donna with great fondness. She was the closest cousin and lifelong closest friend of my mother (Helen Evidon) and one of the most cherished guests at our own wedding (30 years ago). We spoke to her often over the years since we moved back and deeply regret that we never managed to visit her (though we certainly tried). She was a remarkable woman - beautiful, keenly intelligent, strong-willed, loyal, refreshingly outspoken and sometimes very funny. The world is a poorer place without her. We will miss her ver much.
To Tom and Jane and their families, we send our deepest condolences. May you treasure the memories of Donna and Mike, two wonderful people.
Fondly,
Dick and Adele Evidon
