Donna Joy Hintgen

Donna Joy Hintgen, 82, of Bellingham, Washington, passed away on November 14, 2023. She was born on June 4, 1941, in Seattle, Washington, to Norma and Harold Skindlo. Donna was the beloved sister of Laurie (Lowell) Klubberud, loving mother to Christopher G. Hintgen, and cherished grandmother to Chris M. Hintgen and Tate Hintgen. Aunt to Andy and Arne Klubberud, Beloved cousin to Phyllis Day.
She was also preceded in death by her Mother, Norma Skindlo, Father, Harold Skindlo, and Daughter, Kelly L. Hintgen.

Donna enjoyed a fulfilling career as the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Sociology at Western Washington University for 20 years. She dedicated her time and skills to supporting the faculty and students in their academic pursuits.

Outside of her professional life, Donna had a passion for playing the piano, camping, and traveling. She found joy in spending time with her friends and adored her grandchildren. Donna's warm and caring nature touched the lives of those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A service to celebrate Donna's life will be announced at a later date. In memory of Donna, contributions can be made to Whatcom Hospice, an organization that provides compassionate end-of-life care to those in need.
