Dear Jordan Family; I miss Donna `s smiles and the way she tutored her quilt project on the YouTube. I was never interested in quilting but I began Quilting because of Donna´s soft and encouraging voice. She had a passion for her craft. Thank God for a talented woman. Amen

My heartfelt prayers for the Jordan family in their loss. Donna was truly a blessing in my life even though we never met. She was my teacher and inspiration to try quilting. My first actual quilt was the Jagged X quilt in the same colors as she made in the tutorial. As a teacher of 36 years myself, I was so grateful for her calm and clear instructions in her tutorials. I now sew non-stop, as I´ve retired and am alone with no family near me. Except for Donna - I watch her tutorials all day every day as I sew. She has made such an impact on people who want to sew. That is truly a great legacy. Thank you to Matt for continuing with the program. God bless you all.

I have been quilting for a couple years, and just recently fell down the youtube rabbit hole looking at quilting videos. Totally enjoyed Donna's for all the reasons the others have shared prior to this message. When I desired to learn more about her, I was saddened to learn of her death. She continues to be an inspiration. My condolences to her family; however, I am happy that Matt continues with the business and videos.

I don´t understand how you can love someone you have never met. I just started quilting just weeks ago to make quilts for foster children and for the victims of the Texas floods. I began watching u-tube videos like crazy to get up to speed. I noticed the best one was Donna with her soft sweet voice and patient demeanor. She was so knowledgeable and such a great teacher. I especially appreciated her great style. Everything was fresh, colorful and so appealing. I quit watching everyone else and watched her exclusively. All that to say I felt like I knew her and she knew me. She was my teacher. Well, I like many have lost a friend of a few weeks but so many have lost so much more. For that I am sorry. I ask God to bless you all with good memories and a peaceful heart. And I pray God will give Donna an eternity of happiness and joy until we meet for real.

I had just found Donna´s videos as I´m learning the art of quilting at age 75. I watched her very careful and detailed tutorials of a wedding ring quilt and was so impressed by her upbeat and patient teaching style. I will now make that quilt in memory of her and give to my grandson who is getting married a year from now. My sincere sympathies to you Matt. What a true partner you were to Donna in every sense of the word. I was so impressed watching as video of the two of you tying a quilt together. I´m now tying my beginner quilts as I work my way up to the wedding ring quilt. God bless you and your lovely family and may Donna´s eternal soul rest in peace until you meet again.

@jordanfabrics8380 Channel opened on TV this morning. `Twas a happy, sunny surprise! I was hooked on the 1st tutorial & promptly subscribed! I especially admire the calmness & ingenuity & cleverness Donna expressed throughout the tutorials. When I noticed the "Celebration of Life", time slowed. Palpable. I cried. The "Buckeye Beauty" is stunning!

Donna Jordan. So much great things to say about such a wonderful person. I wish your family well and pray for their comfort during their time of grief.
I wish I had of sent you a message 20 years ago to say Thank You for sharing your knowledge with me (and the world), and all the tips and tricks about sewing. You taught me so much, I thought I had it all down pat when it came to sewing, until I came across one of your tutorials and I watched it. I was so amazed and have been hooked ever since! Thank you so much for being so giving and sharing tips, tricks, patterns, and even the behind the scenes you shared with us! We all love you and will miss you dearly. I think about you sometimes when I make something that you taught me to make or I use one of the tips you shared and made my sewing job easier. You know, there was one time I wanted to send you a message and ask you if you had one of your old industrial sewing machines that you would sale so I could buy it from you. I wish now that I had done it and taken the chance of getting one of your machines, that way every time I sew something, I know you are still right there with me guiding me right along and it's all doing to come out just right!! May you rest in peace sweet lady! Until we meet again! Your biggest fan. Connie Jo.

I am very saddened by the death of Donna. My sincere sympathy to all her family.
I learnt such a lot from watching her videos. As a quilter who learnt the joy of creating quilts, I could always find something new to try when I watched how she developed her skill, and her choice of colour was beautiful.
Apart from being a wonderful teacher, Donna was able to inspire and encourage beginners and experienced quilters with her friendly informal instructions. There are so many people who will miss her, but will continue to think of her whenever they choose material to make another masterpiece, and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for introducing me to a world of colour and design sewn together with love. Thank you Donna.
