Donna Ann (Yuengling) Joy passed away on June 4, 2025.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael Joy; daughters, Karen Drozd and Suzanne Gellner; stepchildren, Ben Joy and Lori (Joy) Oyer; siblings, Stephen (Eileen) Yuengling, Paula Paganucci, Christine (Steve) Niles, Scott (Amy Jo Young) Yuengling; grandchildren, Stephen Gellner and Emma, Jamie, and Matthew Drozd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Douglas and Frances (Casey) Yuengling; brother-in-law, Richard Paganucci; and nephew, Casey Yuengling.

Donna was born in Queens, New York, on November 5, 1947. She attended Montgomery Junior College in Rockville, Maryland and resided in Silver Spring, MD for over 40 years. Donna's career was spent as a paralegal at multiple firms and she retired from Fleet, Jacobson, Cohen & Price, Washington, DC, in 2011. After her retirement, she was a Realtor in Lost River, West Virginia.

Donna had many varied interests and activities that she approached with her usual high energy and fun spirit. She brought creativity to her hobbies of quilting, hooking rugs, and engaging in other textile arts. Donna, additionally, achieved certification as a Master Gardener and enjoyed hobbies at her homes in Richmond, Virginia and Lost River, West Virginia. Donna is most known for her caring, outgoing, joyful, kind, dependable, and generous nature. She made the best out of all situations and possessed an admirable ability to make others laugh, all characteristics that were cherished by her family and many friends. As many of Donna's loved ones described, "she was always there for me."

The immediate family has gathered to share private memories.
