Aunt Donna, Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I carry the inspiration stone w/ur pic on it that Shar gave me everywhere I go. It is a constant reminder for me to do better. I think... What Would Donna Do! In life you have always been there for me and you continue to be there in spirit. You were an Angel on earth! What a great creation God made in you. We are all better for having known you. You didn't just have the "power of the purse" you had THE POWER OF LIFE!

So many wonderful memories growing up with my cousin. Memories of playing together in the Terrace as children. Waving at one another in the halls of Ken-Hi. She was like a little sister to me. We talked about getting together at aunt Vicky's funeral and catch up on "how the world has treated us". She and Jack came from Cal. to attend my son's wedding reception in Pgh.
She's in my prayers and the prayers of my family.

Hello, Jack ---- I grew up with the Drew in New Ken. Not only do I have fond memories of those young years, I have held this woman in the greatest esteem through all her years. She made an everlasting impression on all of us with her achievements --- and she never lost her simple sincerity and humor. I always thought she was a Champ! God be with you all, BABE SAMS.

My beloved sister, I will see you on my pillow full of visions...

I will love you until my forever runs out of time....

Innocence of Heart

As sisters

We've lived in the sunshine

And walked in the rain

Our journey through life gave us bends in the road

Yet with intertwined hearts

Connected still; our childhood delight

It seems before we could grow

Beyond that childhood spirit

God took you from my sight

I now will have to see you

from the corners of my mind

When my heart beckons for you to come and play

Your spirit, now free

Will find its way to enlighten mine with a sunlit day

The butterfly will make me take chase; for your essence

Will flutter with wings of gold

When I want to hear the sweetness of your voice;

The bird’s sweet melody will beckon your song

When I long for you to be near, you shall come…

I will feel your presence in the warmth of the sun

The raindrops that fall is your love splashing down to fill up my heart

The wind blows softly through the trees;

A leaf fluttering in flight

Become your subtle soft kiss upon my cheek

Perhaps you thought I would not notice

Your presence never ends

I am glad I never grew up for only a child’s eyes can see

Beyond the stars is how far you now live from me……and that’s not far

Because the road that leads to you

Starts from inside of me…

Patty, Jack, and family,

I had the wonderful pleasure of having Donna as a friend. We worked together at Hyundai for years, and I always thought of her as a mentor of mine. I learned many things from her, most of which I still use in my everyday life.

Even in the darkest of times, she was always there with the perfect words, that beautiful smile and her contagious laugh, and could always make me smile, even through tears.

I will forever remember her, and thank God that I was lucky enough to have crossed paths with such an amazing woman.

And to Donna - when you get there, please give my Dad a big hug for me..I'm sure he'll be really happy to see you....(don't laugh too hard at his bad jokes!)

Godspeed....
