Donna Lou Brewer Ellis Poff

DONNA POFF Donna Lou Brewer Ellis Poff, of Mesquite NV, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Las Vegas NV, at the age of 83. She had been a resident of Mesquite for the past 8 years, having resided previously in Boulder City, and Jeffersonville Ind. Born in Ottumwa Iowa on Aug. 12, 1930, she was the daughter of Joseph and Wanda ( Arandus ) Brewer. She leaves behind a brother, Joseph Eugene; half-sister, Carolyn; and half-brother, Russell. Married to Bernard Ellis in 1947, she had 2 sons, James of Reno and Joseph of Ventura, Calif. She had 4 grandchildren, Paul, Cheryl, Eric and Krista Ellis. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Robert Poff, in the year 2000, and had two stepsons, Robert Jr. and Gary Poff. Married for more than 30 years, they enjoyed each other, and the places they lived. Donna was a secretary for many years, having worked for Litton, Calif., and enjoyed cooking and casino gambling. She leaves behind many friends from California to Iowa, and Kentucky to Nevada. Per her wishes, no services will be held.
