Donna Tramm Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 25, 2024.

DONNA MARLENE TRAMM ("NONNA") peacefully went to be with her precious Savior on August 16, 2024 at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. She thoroughly enjoyed living at home in Vadnais Heights and was able to be there until the last few days of her life. Donna was preceded in death by Marlyn "Marley" Tramm, her loving husband of 67 years, and three brothers: Dwayne Rudquist, Donald Rudquist, and Reverend Daniel Rudquist (Donald being her twin). Donna is survived by her three sons Keith Tramm (Gina), Kim Tramm (Grace), and Kevin Tramm (Jane), ten grandchildren: Benjamin Tramm (Nikki), John Tramm (Jen), Matthew Tramm (Ashley), Stephanie Tramm, Nathanael Tramm (Vanessa), David Tramm (Carina), Sarah Masek (Mike), Elisabeth Curran (Connor), Andre Tramm, and Alex Tramm; thirteen great grandchildren: Maria, Joshua, Andrew, Hans, Gloria, Madeline, Cecelia, Annie, Mollie, Sophia, Marlie, Lucy, and Miles; dear sister-in-law MaryJean Rudquist, and many cherished nephews, nieces, and friends. Donna was born in July of 1932 at St. Barnabus Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Reverend A.W. Rudquist and his wife Ellen. She graduated from Onamia High School and was married to Marlyn in March of 1950. She graduated from St. Cloud State with a Teacher's Certificate while Marley was in the U.S. Navy. After teaching in central Minnesota at various locations, she taught second grade in the Minneapolis Public School System. She completed the BSF Bible course and also conducted Bible studies of her own. Donna served as a talented decorator in her husband's home building business. She loved distributing Bibles and was a long-time member of the Gideons International Auxiliary while Marlyn was a member of the Gideons. Donna loved shopping for books and reading them. She was a competitor when playing Scrabble and completing difficult jigsaw puzzles. "Little Boy," Donna's tuxedo cat, will miss "his mom" and the royal treatment she gave him daily. Donna easily laughed, was fun-loving, had a wonderful sense of humor, loved cooking and serving delicious food to so many others in her life. Donna drank an ample amount of Pepsi everyday. She was always concerned with others' needs whether temporal or eternal. She had a running daily prayer list whereby she prayed for all her loved-ones and many other people she met along life's way. Her family could always count on her for prayer support. Donna's faith in her Savior and her assurance of the salvation He so graciously and richly provided to her was strengthened during the recent health challenges she faced. A celebration of Donna's life and faith will be held at THE NORTH CHURCH (5151 Program Avenue, Mounds View, MN 55112) on TUESDAY AUGUST 27TH @ 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held one hour before the service.

My Aunt Donna was a wonderful lady. My memories of her are all filled with joy and encouragement. Three adjectives to describe her are: Graceful, Gifted, and Generous. She was an elegant woman who dressed with class, and carried herself with GRACE. She was gifted - in her ability to teach, decorate, and write among other talents. But the strongest attribute she had was her generosity. My aunt was one of the most generous people I know. Not only was she generous with her money, but with her time and constant words of encouragement. These are only three adjectives that describe my aunt but the most important thing about Donna washer love and belief in Jesus Christ - her Lord and Savior! I miss you, Donna but will see you again in heaven where we will worship our Father together forever!
