Donna Vendola passed away December 4, 2015 in the arms of her devoted husband Arthur Nicholas Vendola, in their home in Farmington, CT, at the age of 73.

Donna was born on May 7, 1942 in New Britain, CT to the late Anthony and Grace (Calvo) DiMugno. In 1967, she married Arthur, a Yale-educated civil and structural engineer.

Donna was a cherished, devoted, loving mother and wife. She was a talented hairdresser in her father's hairdressing business, and then office manager in her husband's engineering firm. She was a true family woman and homemaker, dedicating her life to her loved ones. She had a passion for fashion, interior decorating and home entertaining.

Donna is survived by her husband, Arthur; three children, Arthur Vendola, MD, of Jackson, MI, Keith Vendola, MBA, MD, of Redwood City, CA, and Mary-Grace Tavor, MPH, of Zurich, Switzerland; eight grandchildren, Kalea, Finn and Ainsley Vendola, Nathan and Andrew Vendola, and Zev, Sophia and Ari Tavor; sisters Linda Ryan of Newark, DE, and Marilyn Lugli of New Britain, CT; and brother Robert DiMugno of Punta Gorda, FL.

Funeral services will begin Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at 9 a.m. at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by her funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation hours will be held Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

It's been many years since we girls used to gather at the salon, every week, and talk and laugh and joke around. Donna was a beautiful person, inside and out. Linda, we all shared so many memories. My heart breaks for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
